New OU

The University of Oklahoma recently made the daring leap to ‘refresh’ their athletics branding, including the OU interlocking logo and their wordmark (or typeface).

The feedback has been mixed, but in my opinion… I don’t hate it.

Below is my tweet comparing the current OU brand and the upcoming new brand, designed by Nike’s Graphic Identity Group (GIG)

During the OU Spring Game, the team was already sporting the new logo on their helmets…

 

So with the university creating a fresher look now that we are in the Lincoln Riley era, I decided to make a quick wallpaper set.
